Dr. Jeffrey Smith is board certified in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery.
College Education
He received his Bachelor and Masters degrees at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan in 1986 and 1988.
Medical School
He attended the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University where he received his medical degree in 1992.
Postgraduate training
Dr. Smith then completed a six year residency in general surgery which included a one year research fellowship in surgical oncology.
He subsequently completed his training in plastic surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Children's Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University in Boston Massachusetts and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

He is a member of several prestigious professional societies including The American College of Surgeons, The American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, The Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgery, The Massachusetts Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Fredrick Coller Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

He maintains staff privileges at Lowell General Hospital, Saint's Memorial Medical Center, Emerson Hospital, Children's Hospital, and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
